Ambar type family by Carine de Wandeleer is a hot new addition to the growing trend of creating font collections where every designer could find different styles typefaces typical for a decent time period and pairing each other perfectly. Ambar makes no exception in this – 6 fonts featuring one serif in three different styles, regular and bold script and a font with ornaments. The serif typeface is developed only for uppercase letters and small caps showing delicate elements of decoration, slightly condensed look and high contrast between thin and thick strokes. It is available in three styles – Regular, Decore and Outline. The script font has two weights – Regular and Bold and it is a tender upright calligraphic face. We haven’t tested it yet on our computers but we see from its presentation that it is equipped with Stylistic and Contextual alternates, Swashes and Ligatures that give you enough options to play with almost every character and thus customize accordingly all your work. At the end Ambar Ornaments is a beautiful set of elegant and stylish ornaments that perfectly fit and complement the style of the entire family.
