Lyra typeface by Philip Bouwsma (Canada Type foundry) is a calligraphy broad pen script with its roots in the Italian Renaissance. It amalgamates in its stylish letterforms the nobility of the formal chancery cursive with the amplitude and dynamics of the Roman lettering. Lyra font family features high stroke contrast with delicate verticals and massive curves. The constantly changing pen angle creates vital and picturesque but at the same time legible text pattern. Perfect for greetings, packages, posters and many more.

Lyra typeface comes in three weights: Regular, Medium, and Bold plus an extra Stars font offering 90 flowers, snowflakes and stars, available for assembling frames or using as separators. Every Lyra font weight contains three character sets and a plenty of stylistic alternates. The type family’s versatility goes further with three to six length variations of the ascenders and descenders, 65 snap-on swashes, and 24 built-in dividers in each font weight.
