Madre Script is a modern typeface that has a quite friendly and slightly vintage appearance. It is created by the Brazilian type designer Marconi Lima of the Typefolio type foundry and comes after his famous award winning typeface Pétala Pro which received a “Certificate of Excellence” at the 2014 Tipos Latinos Biennale. This time he has designed Madre Script – a quiet and discreet typeface with strong personality and great legibility. Marconi Lima adopted two building styles while creating this typeface – the script with its freedom of writing and the typographic with its repetition of shapes. Both are presented in unostentatious way and without any conflict whatsoever. The end result is a beautiful, gentle and elegant typeface which resembles handwriting and is quite suitable for packaging, branding and editorial.

Madre Script offers to the users many modern OpenType features that make this typeface very versatile. Among them are: ligatures, superiors and inferiors, lining and old style figures, fractions, ordinals and case sensitive forms.
