Revived from original filmstrips Filmotype Leader font is a typeface used back early 1950s mostly in automotive ads and editorial design. Its main purpose was to express speed and urgency. It is now available in new digitally remastered version expanded with many different open type features like alternates and ligatures, full multilingual support for western alphabets, fractions and ordinals. Despite the impressions of its original purpose in design back in the days, we see how useful Filmotype Leader is nowadays – use it for headlines, brand names, logos, food packages and yes – use it for automotive adds – especially if you want to have those original retro look from the middle of the past century.
