Fazeta typeface is a modern serif font family that is based on the Antiqua or Venetian types. It is inspired by the works of the Czechoslovakian type masters of the 1960’s that created some land mark typefaces. Of course, being a modern typeface family, Fazeta is much more dynamic than its predecessors lacking the uniform thickness of the strokes. The designer of the font employed a wide range of techniques to achieve a lively and sharp appearance such as asymmetrical arches, expanded vertical strokes, very interesting stable serifs, etc. As a result we have a very rational and yet identical typeface family that is perfect for projects where you want to add more emotions and personality flavor.

Fazeta is a font family with great merit but there is one prominent feature – the use of the optical sections. It is classified into 3 variants depending on the optical size – the low contrast caption (size 6-9 pt), medium contrast text (10 pt) and the high contrast display (above 20 pt). Each version comes in 5 weights from Light to Black with their respective Italics. Overall, the typeface family comprises the astonishing 30 fonts, each containing 1140 glyphs! And there are even more extras supplied – alternative glyphs, fractions, small capitals, digits, symbols, indexes, arrows, etc.

Fazeta typeface is a brainchild of the Slovak type designer Andrej Dieneš and released by his type foundry Adtypo. This independent foundry has its focus on adding ingenious touch to traditional type forms employing vast range of OpenType features and offering extensive language support.
