Pepone font is a modern serif font with very special dedication. It pays tribute to the works of the present day Czech writer Josef Kroutvor. Indeed it is specially designed to suit the purpose of setting his texts. This task required painstaking work as the font had to be worthy of the writer’s books. It had to reflect his imaginary world and to remind the readers of the places, people and events he depicts. The end result is Pepone – a font we believe goes beyond Kroutvor’s works and is suitable for universal use in books, magazines, catalogs, posters, online presentations, advertising, etc.

Pepone font bears many modern features and functions. Its different styles offer many opportunities for the people that use it – regular styles are designed to suit small text sizes and to be comfortable for reading long texts while the heavy styles are to be used very carefully. Even the Italics are narrowed in order to satisfy the contemporary need of paper saving in the offices. All in all, the different styles combine very well together and will fulfill vast range of typing demands.

Pepone font is created by the awarded Czech type designer and graphic artist František Štorm – the founder of the Prague based Storm type foundry. Its work is dedicated mostly to adapting the means of classical typography to the needs of the modern digitalized era.
