Triana font is a modern script that will immediately catch your attention mainly with its unique thin lines, cute doodles and its elegant, feminine look. Its delicate appearance is all you need to create something unforgettable especially when a bit of romance and passion is required. Daring as it is, this project needed a daring name too. And a daring name was chosen! Rodrigo de Triana – a brave Spanish sailor, was the first European since the Vikings that saw America. Being part of the expedition of Christopher Columbus he had one of the main roles in an event that was to change the course of history. We believe that the impact the font has on the visual perception is as big as the Triana’s cry: ”Tierra!” was loud.

Triana font comes in five monoline variants (Triana A-E) with two extra versions – the more contrasting “Triana – B – Plus” and “Triana – F” – an additional set of swirls and end letters. All the versions complement one another perfectly thus giving the users the chance to create numerous combinations.

Triana font is designed by the German designer Gert Wiescher and released by his type foundry Wiescher Design. Gert has a long and very interesting history having traveled and lived all around the world and having worked for many big guns like Agfa, Paulaner, Peugeot and Phillip Morris, to name a few. His main areas of practice are writing, type design, typography, graphic design and advertising.
