Bowling Script is a modern decorative typeface family with a very distinctive appearance that is characterized by extensive alteration and a lot of swashes. It consists of two fonts – Bowling Script and Bowling Script Balls. They come with more than 1500 glyphs and complement each other perfectly. The main font possesses all of the characteristics of the sign painting like the sharp and curly forms that work quite well with the ball endings that can be found in the second one. Overall Bowling Script has dense and saturated letter forms with happy, fancy and fashionable look that will fit perfectly in invitations, sports related stuff, signs, commercials, logotypes and many more. Vast language support is provided for languages based on Latin as well as a very interesting choice for the users as they can choose between two versions of the fonts in the family – with or without all the alternates and extra OpenType features.
Bowling Script typeface family is created by the Argentine type designer Alejandro Paul – the author of Courtesy Script Pro, Seashore Pro, Jugo Script, Horizontes Script, Rolling Pen. Alejandro describes the font family as his further try (after the Semilla typeface that he released before) to distill the work of the prominent German graphic designer Hermann Bentele and adapt it to the modern cultural trends and beliefs.
There is something connected to Bowling Script that must be mentioned. This is “Mute” – a visual essay created with the special purpose to introduce the typeface family and dedicated to the digital life. The project authors are Valentin Muro and Tomas Garcia.
