Compass Next font is a modern geometric serif font that is the new version of Compass TRF – a typeface family, released back in 2002. There are two words that best describe this family – extreme geometry. The first edition was drawn using a ruler and a compass and came in Regular, Italic and Alternate styles. The second added Flourish Initials and Small Caps, whereas the idea behind the third one is to get the appearance of the letters closer to the look of the traditional Didone letterforms with their vertical weight axes and great contrast between thick and thin lines. Also, a new Bold weight and alternative Decorative style are added. Extended support is provided for most of the languages that use Latin alphabet.

 

 

Compass Next font is created by Ramiz Guseinov – an American designer of Russian origin who has great interest in producing new fonts in geometrical way. In 2004 he established TippografiaRamis font foundry in order to promote and market his digital fonts among which are: Rams font, Compass St font, Decima Mono X font.
