Tautz font is a modern type serif font family that is very much a result of its author’s quest to capture the collective British heritage and style. It is a very successful attempt to create a font that would be typically British but without repeating dull stereotypes. The outcome is a quite rational, functional typeface that is full of personal character but still has a touch of frivolity and dissipation. All this is achieved by using different techniques like geometrical approach to the glyphs construction, sharp serif details and lowered x-height in order to create tension on the paper or on the screen.

Tautz offers 5 weights, many Opentype features, manually edited kerning and 470 characters including Cyrillic ligatures.
