Torrent is a modern font family that can be described as a very reliable multipurpose workhorse. It is very distinctive with its wedge-like serifs, extremely high legibility and has pronounced humanist appearance. To achieve that, Manushi Parikh – the typeface’s designer used means like large x-heights, wide-open counter forms, opening of some joints, higher stroke-contrast model. All these make Torrent font family perfect for use in both larger and smaller sizes as well as, which is very important, in bad printing conditions that are typical nowadays. In fact, we do believe that the name is not accidental as this typeface will flow like a real unstoppable torrent in any conditions. It will be suitable for many different applications like book or editorial design, posters, brochures, magazines and newspapers, packaging, logos, written commercials, etc.
To increase the number of possible choices, Torrent comes in 5 separate styles – Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold. As you may expect, the lighter weights are great for the longer text sizes, while the heavier ones will make your headlines significantly noticeable. Each font contains large number of glyphs – 380 to be precise.
