Adinah is a modern decorative script based mainly on pointed brush calligraphy and the sign painting. It is exactly the influence of the latter that mostly contributes to the typeface’s uniqueness. It could be seen in the shapes of the letters that are as rhythmic, elegant and expressive as you can imagine. On top of that, the layered based structure of the family makes it very flexible too, as the different font can be used and combined freely to a great result. Another great feature of Adinah font are the hundreds of lowercase letter variants and end pieces that contribute to its natural appearance and the free and natural flowing of the letters. All these make this typeface a perfect tool for many projects, especially in the fields of packaging, branding and advertising.

Adinah family includes 14 fonts – eight combined styles with an additional family of six layered fonts, all built around a rigid brush script. There are two variations – Rough and Solid, designed in order to give the users the chance to create different impressions in their projects. Rough will generate a feeling of hastiness, disorder and distress in writing, whereas Solid accounts for precise and smooth lettering. All versions and styles are abundant of alternates and OpenType features like the alternate capitals and ampersands, available thru the stylistic sets.

Adinah font family is designed by the UK designer Andy Lethbridge and is published under the label of Hand Foundry, which is his creative output. In his work, Andy Lethbridge – a graphic design graduate from the University of Portsmouth, accentuates on combining the contemporary technology with his admiration of handwritten typography. Judging by Adinah font family, he does that very well!
