Averta typeface is a contemporary sans serif font family that is characteristic with its simple and very friendly appearance. It is a very fine embodiment of the ideas that led to the creation of the grotesque and gothic typeface styles – boldness, simplicity, solidity and practicality that account for very high legibility. Perhaps, this font is best described by its name with “averta” in Greek meaning to speak or act openly and without hiding. And that is exactly what you get from this typeface – a very plain and straightforward attitude. The open apertures, low contrast forms and geometric letterforms result in a neutral look that is quite pleasing to the reader’s eye. But this is not the only advantage Averta offers as this font is also very versatile. It is designed so that the middle weights are perfect for smaller sizes and longer texts whereas the thinner and black ones are more suitable for headlines. All in all, Averta font could be used with great success in a great variety of projects like branding, advertising, posters, brochures, signage, etc.

Averta typeface includes 8 weights – Extra Thin, Thin, Light, Regular, Semibold, Bold, Extra Bold and Black. All of them come with their respective very elegant and dynamic Italics which vastly increase the number of the users’ choices. When speaking about choices we cannot but emphasize the great amount of OpenType features provided. Among them are stylistic alternates, alternate glyphs, case sensitive forms, fractions, small caps, ordinals, nominators and denominators, symbols, superiors and inferiors, oldstyle and lining numerals and more. Of course, there is an extended language support provided for more than 200 languages including Greek and Vietnamese character sets.
