Benson Script font by Kyle Wayne Benson is a hot new interesting and above all fascinating attempt to accommodate under a single roof the antagonistic at first glance principles of the script lettering on the one hand, and of the block letters – on the other hand. The font creation idea originates from a rejected monument company logo design which should resemble chisel-carved letters. The concept has undergone many transformations, but luckily the final result is an inimitable geometrically restricted let’s-call-it ‘script’. The font designer concerns that ‘Cutting a script down to its bare bones is an offensive idea to many – almost seeming insulting to its genre.’ But everyone will admit that these concerns are completely groundless when he/she looks at the brilliant modernisticaly ‘form follows function’ structure and carefully ‘scriptic’ ornamentation of the letters.

Benson Script font features 3 contrast levels, and 2 styles; the six styles of Benson Script are an experiment in the diversity of a single stem width.
