Designed in 2013 by Ale Paul/Sudtipos, Brownstone Slab font is an evolutional slab serif and decorative version of the original award-winning Brownstone Sans. Inheriting the clean outlines of its predecessor Brownstone Slab is a contemporary response to the Victorian motifs of ironwork and carved decorations traditional for New York City row houses. Brownstone Slab looks a little more solid than the original Brownstone Sans yet very elegant and eye-catching. It is developed in three weights supporting an impressive set of alternates, swashes and beautifully designed “Ale”-style ligatures. Moreover – you’ll be surprised to find 3 separate fonts with stylish frames and ornaments – one for each of Brownstone Slab’s weights.
