Castor font by Jay Hilgert (Albatross foundry) is a very interesting decorative Sans Serif based on the Grotesque caps-only typeface style and resembling the vintage woodtype letterpress technology. Each letter has 3 variations – uppercase, lowercase, and alternates.
Castor font family consists of four styles – One, One Oblique, Two, and Two Oblique, plus Catchwords, Catchword Dividers (unique horizontal rules), Ornaments, and a set of Extras (grunge, dividers, and bullets). The latter four complement the font family, giving it a great variety of possible combinations in order to assist the designers in their creativity. Plenty of OpenType features are available including alternate letters and numbers, double letter ligatures for more ‘handmade’ realism, subscript numbers, and superscript numbers.
