Grafia Sans 1 Pro font
Grafia Sans 1 Pro font by Ricardo Santos (Vanarchiv type foundry) is a low-contrast, vertical stressed Sans-Serif typeface family carrying geometric, humanist and grotesque characteristics. Originally Grafia Sans 1 Pro font appeared as a custom brand face for the YOYO studio (Barcelona) 2005, designed to replace Helvetica font used by them by that time. After almost decade of development and redesign the brand new Grafia Sans 1 Pro family is ready to go. It has display proportions and small apertures. The italics have skew angle of 5°, and they are a bit narrower than the roman versions.
The font family offers 18 variations (9 weights plus italics): Thin, Thin Italic, Ultra Light, Ultra Light Italic, Book, Book Italic, Medium, Medium Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Extra Bold, Extra Bold Italic, Black And Black Italic.
Grafia Sans 1 Pro font family is heavily equipped with OpenType features: Small Caps, Case Sensitive Punctuation, Superior Lowercase, Scientific Superiors And Inferiors, Standard And Discretional Ligatures, Historical Forms, Old Style, Small Caps And Lining Figures, Proportional And Tabular Figures, Slashed Zeros, Stylistic Sets. It also provides broad language support.
Ricardo Santos is a Portuguese graphic designer and illustrator, designing typefaces since 1997. In 2011 he created Tiponautas type foundry, together with Luis Alonso. In 2013 he joined Tipos das Letras studio. Ricardo Santos’ type foundry is Vanarchiv. Check his TDL Ruha Hairline font.
