Magnum Sans Pro
Magnum Sans Pro by Michael Hagemann (FontMesa type foundry) is a comprehensive low contrast Sans Serif family offering a whole set of eleven weights with true Italic, Oblique and an alt upright set called Alfa. It has a neutral Grotesque character, strong presence, excellent legibility and plenitude of alternate forms. Its immense versatility is perfect for text, titles, magazines, signage, logotype, etc.
The contemporary definition of ‘Magnum’ refers to any product offering double the capacity. Magnum Sans Pro typeface family provides full arsenal of goodies: 11 weights with 2600 glyphs per font, two slanted and two upright versions plus a standard and pro set; stylistic alternates and swash caps expanding creativity; a lot of OpenType options.
OpenType features in the Pro set include: Alternate Fractions, Case Sensitive Forms, Denominators, Numerators, Discretionary Ligatures, Standard Ligatures, Old-style Figures, Tabular Figures, Proportional Figures, Ordinals, Scientific Inferiors, Superscript, Subscript, Stylistic Alternates, Swash Caps, Arrows and Enclosed Alphanumerics. Michael Hagemann is US type designer and photographer, founder of the FontMesa type foundry. FontMesa are searching for old typefaces both classic (Tuscan and French) and of the Old West, reviving them for life in the digital age. They are producing high-end typefaces drawn and kerned by hand and instead of created by automatic scanning methods.
