Stevie Sans is a contemporary font family that is inspired by the grotesque specimens of the 19th and early 20th century. It bears all the characteristics of its classic predecessors – rational and almost neutral nature, relatively straight appearance, perfect balance. It has the typical high legibility that makes it a real workhorse suitable for enormously vast range of applications in both larger and smaller sizes.
Despite being based on old samples, Stevie Sans has all the features that are required from a modern font family and as such provides a great number of opportunities. It comes in seven weights – Thin, Light, Book, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black. There are more than 500 glyphs and plenty of OpenType features including ligatures, fractions, symbols, ordinals, superiors and inferiors, old style numerals, tabular figures and localized forms. Extensive language support is at your disposal too.
Stevie Sans is designed by the Brazilian designer Marconi Lima and is released by his Typefolio foundry. It is another project that is typical for Marconi – a highly technical and rational font. Look at his other works here: Madre Script, Pétala Pro, Adriane Text.
