Marat font evolved from the originally developed as a magazine face to a comprehensive typeface family. Its elegant and soft rounded letter shapes make it suitable for a wide spectrum of typography applications: editorial, brochures, packaging and corporate design. Special attention deserves the Marat font Bold weight which shows surprisingly good results for a serif typeface.
Marat font comes in five variations (weights) including Italics, Small Caps, various OpenType features (ligatures, case sensitive forms, fractions, superiors and inferiors) and a multilingual support. Each font includes Oldstyle and Lining Figures, both proportional and tabular. Marat is well suited to its match – Marat Sans, a vital and clean sans serif typeface.
Marat font has been selected by the Type Directors Club of New York to receive the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design 2008.
