Parisi is a contemporary font family that will immediately take you to an unforgettable journey to the world capital of romance and elegance – Paris. Whatever you may think of this formidable city, of how artistic, casual, glamorous, free spirited and full of joy it is, you may think also of this remarkable typeface. However, it is not named after the city but after its founders – the Celtic tribe of Paisii that in the days Julius Caesar lived in what is today Ile-de-France. Their main city Lutetia later took their name and become the jewel that we know today.
Parisi font family, as was noted above, takes much from the city in terms of elegance and sophistication. It is a handwritten script that is based on gestural calligraphy – the one that is based on emotion. There are a few things that define Parisi’s individual appearance – the little bounce, the deliberate irregularity, the rather harmonious alternation of thick and thin strokes. This gives the typeface very friendly and informal look that will surely add a pinch of romance in every project it is used for. On top of that, to add plenty of opportunities the family comes with three fonts – Regular, Italic and Condensed. Also, those of the users that have access to OpenType compatible software will disport plenty of very useful features like Stylistic and Contextual alternates, Swashes, Ornaments, Stylistic sets, Standard and Discretionary Ligatures, etc. All in all, Parisi font family will be extremely suitable for wedding stationery, fashion related items, packaging, covers, greeting cards, posters and many more.
Parisi font family is designed by the Argentine designer Carine de Wandeleer that currently lives and works in Spain. It comes after the lovely Ambar typeface and has all it takes to be quite as successful. Here you can see other of Carine’s great projects:
