Pratt Nova font by Nick Shinn (ShinnType foundry) is a rich, visually appealing Serif family carrying the classic spirit in a contemporary body. It’s created with a flourish, but at the same time – with carefully treated details. Its visual rhythm and harmony play in unison to assist the typographer in creating remarkable artworks.

Pratt Nova typeface is characterized by open massive forms, tall x-height, high stroke contrast, short descenders and capitals, and complex details. The font family offers 17 fonts (Fine Regular, Fine Regular Italic, Fine Bold, Fine Bold Italic, Light, Light Italic, Regular, Regular Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Heavy, Heavy Italic, Black, Text Regular, Text Regular Italic, Text Bold, and Text Bold Italic). The Pratt Nova Fine styles feature even more elegance and exquisiteness, and the Text styles are optimized for book publishing. The Text styles also contain additional glyphs and OpenType features.

Pratt Nova type family is designed by the London-born Toronto-based graphic designer and art director Nick Shinn. He works as design consultant, lecturer, and type designer. Nick has designed 15 typefaces, including the famous Fontesque Pro . Check also his Richler font.
