Preto Semi font by Ján Filípek (DizajnDesign foundry) is an experimental Semi Serif typeface family designed with the ambition not just mechanically to add/remove serifs to/from a Sans/Serif font, but to create an entirely new distinctive and legible typeface for text sizes. The Preto Semi serifs are organic stroke extensions both solving the ‘sans-serific’ spacing problem and performing the main serifs function – to keep the reader’s eye on the baseline and emphasize the horizontal rhythm of the lines of text.

Preto Semi font family is an excellent choice for magazines and editorials. It comes in 8 variations in 4 weights (Regular, Medium, Bold and Black) plus their italics. Available are the standard OpenType functions and multilingual support.
