Well, it has been almost a year since the release of the joint project of Daniel Hernández and Paula Nazal Selaive – the highly successful Trend Rough font family. Now there is a new typeface on the way – the super ambitious Revista. But this time the design team is even stronger with Marcelo Quiroz joining the ranks. With such a combine effort from three so talented designers, the result cannot be anything else but a formidable typeface. And Revista font family is exactly that! It is a very elegant contemporary typeface that is dedicated to fashion and has all that it takes to complete a fancy fashion magazine project both printed and on the screen. And really, Revista will immediately take its users and the readers to this very hot and trendy world.
The main advantage of Revista font family, apart from its great appearance, is the large variety of styles and weights. By buying the whole family of 26 members, every designer would have the necessary means to solve wide range of problems and especially those related to combining fonts. Revista offers many choices in terms of styles. There is a Didone family of uppercase and small caps that includes four monolinear weights from Thin to Black, all with their respective Italics, as well as an Inline Black variant that could be great for decorative purposes. Closely related to that is the Stencil version that offers the same number of weights. On top of that, Revista designers provide a very interesting Script style that consists of five weights – from Thin to Black. For even greater choice, this version is packed with ligatures and alternates that will make sure the users get a result exactly to their liking. But that is not all, as there are 2 sets of very playful dingbats and a set of ornaments.
Being a family, designed not one but three designers, Revista is a nice mixture of their talent, skill and experience. Here you can take a look at some of the projects and fonts Revista designers took part in:
