Ropa Soft Pro font by Botio Nikoltchev (lettersoup type foundry) is the second member of the prominent Ropa Pro typeface family. Ropa Soft Pro follows the same dual conception of cool technical aesthetics of the early-20th century DIN series, coupled with humanistic italic styles bringing vitality and dynamism. Ropa Soft Pro features round corners giving the type a smooth and friendly appearance.

Ropa Soft Pro family offers 32 font variations in 8 weights: Thin, Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Bold, Extra Bold, and Black. Each weight has additional Small Caps (“SC”) option and italic styles for both. Medium weights are excellent for body text, while the lightest and the heaviest are targeting headlines. Both combinations Light/Heavy and Ropa Soft/Ropa Sans are encouraged in order to achieve intriguing and impacting designs. Respecting the Ropa Pro tradition, two of the fonts: Ropa Soft Regular and Ropa Soft Extra Bold Italic are available for FREE.

As an advanced typography system Ropa Soft Pro family comes with a substantial support of OpenType features such as case-sensitive forms, fractions, super and subscript characters, stylistic alternates, a complete range of old style and lining figures, both in tabular and proportional widths. Ropa Soft Pro font boasts a wide range of supported languages: Latin-based, Cyrillic and Greek. It is manually hinted and optimized for screens, hence it has an excellent web-font, eBooks or Apps performance.

Botio Nikoltchev is Bulgarian designer studied graphic and type design in Potsdam. He is living and working as a freelance designer in Berlin, where he is an art director at Carrois Type Design. Creator of the free font Ropa Sans (2012, Google Web Fonts). The typeface is in DIN’s circle of friends. Sofadi One is a scriptish font that is free at Google Web Fonts. Share Tech Mono (2012, Google Web Fonts) is a monospaced sans face. Share Tech Mono (2012, Google Web Fonts) is its proportional version. Both are derived from Share (2012, Google Web Fonts).

In 2014, Botio Nikoltchev set up the commercial type foundry lettersoup, based in Berlin, Germany. Lettersoup are experts in the multinational typography cuisine, preparing Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Arabic gourmet specialties.
