Salamat Salamat
Download Salamat font

Salamat is a modern handwritten brush script which once again reminds us of how fine and beautiful the fonts of this category could be. It is the second (after Zulia) joint project of Joluvian – a Venezuelan type designer currently living in Spain and Alejandro Paul – one of the founders of Sudtipos type foundry. Salamat was inspired by a Joluvian travel in Asia and especially Philippines – a journey that brought to him many ideas and eventually – what he describes as professional maturity. This typeface is his way to say ‘Thank you” (Salamat in Tagalog) for the great experience. And we think that he did that greatly as Salamat font is masterfully drawn, stylish and elegant and one can instantly tell that its creator invested great passion and attention in it.

Salamat can be defined as an expressive organic typeface with its roots deeply embedded in the humanistic calligraphy. It offers a lot – more than 800 glyphs, plenty of swash capitals, stylistic alternates, and contextual ligatures, symbols, starting and ending letters and a lot more. Overall, Salamat font could be used with great success for logo design, signage, packaging, posters and T-shirts.

With Salamat font Sudtipos once again remind us of the enormous creative potential that they have. Great part of it is the very successful collaboration of Alejandro Paul with various other designers. By following the links you can assess more of these great projects:
