Slapjack font by Stephen W. Rapp (Stephen Rapp foundry) is an unique rendition of a broad-edged calligraphic script. It has an elegant and graceful appearance, being distinctive and strikingly bold at the same time.
With its over 700 glyphs Slapjack font is perfect for packaging, signage, and titling. Slapjack is a fully-featured pro font with a great variety of OpenType features. Both regular and light weights have contextual and stylistic alternates, stylistic sets, swashes, ligatures, fractions, and Central European language support. Using Adobe InDesign which supports Stylistic Sets allows you to instantly convert your text to a version without baseline connectors for a more streamlined look. These can also be selected via the glyph palette. A bonus feature: unlike most script fonts, Slapjack is designed to also set well in all caps, making the typeface more versatile.
Stephen Rapp has been a lettering artist for over 2 decades. He was a recipient of the Hermann Zapf Scholarship Award in 1997 and has been a lettering artist and type developer for American Greetings since 2000. His lettering and type designs have been published in numerous publications including Letter Arts Review and the TDC’s Typography 30.
