Briller font is one of the latest surprises in display sans. This extra wide family is designed in six separate weights starting from Thin and ending with Ultra black weight. The elegance in thin weight is fabulous but the balance in Ultra black is absolutely challenging for every professional typographer. Keeping the apertures at their minimal size and preserving the legibility at its proper level at the same time is extremely difficult especially when we talk about a wide display font.
Of course Nikola Kostić always gives us the best of aesthetics and technology in one place. Pairing Briller Thin and Ultra is very easy no matter if you want to make impressive headline and legible elegant subhead, the other three weights show excellent diversity in their use – typographic posters, book covers, t-shirts, banners, packaging and classic logos.
Add a bunch of extra open type features and you will get the whole picture – just use the right software and you will access lots of ligatures, fractions, numbers and of course large character set of multilingual diacritics. Our overall conclusion about Briller font family is that it looks absolutely classy, solid yet elegant and contemporary. Legibility especially in difficult high contrast weights is brought to its utter limits making this font best choice both for print and on-screen use.
