Factoria font is a modern slab serif typeface closely related to Industry font with which it pairs perfectly. It is easily recognizable because of its specific geometric, square look. It comes with eight weights from Thin to Ultra with each having its respective Italics. The lighter weights possess certain clean and elegant look while the thicker ones exhibit rougher appearance full of character and strength. Technically, Factoria font has high x-heigts in order to obtain better legibility especially in the smaller sizes. Italics are with 10 degree angle and have visual corrections as needed.
Being a contemporary typeface family Factoria includes a lot of OpenType features giving plenty of choices to its users. Part of them are: fractions, subscripts, superscripts, tabular figures, numerators and denominators.
Factoria font is created by the American type designer Mattox Shuler – the founder of Fort Foundry (formerly known as Hold Fast Foundry). This foundry is focused on creating well crafted fonts and to combine the modern digital nature of producing typefaces with something physical that would be more agreeable to people.
