Frost script family
Frost script is a very interesting font family that takes its inspiration from the hand lettering and signs’ inscriptions of the 50’s and 60’s. Just like them it has quite peculiar and effervescent appearance and is characteristic with its fine quirky swashes and ornaments. It perfectly conveys the spirit of those two fervent decades, boiling with life and joy to our modern digitalized times. As a result and due to its funky look, Frost typeface family will add individual, custom-made feeling to any project which makes it perfect for use in posters, logos, packaging, commercial ads, headlines, etc.
Of course Frost is adapted to the needs and requirements of the modern type projects. It offers three weights – Regular, Bold and Black, individual caps and small caps, intended to support the script and separate ornament and banner sets. Vast number of automatic ligatures and at least three alternatives (Stylistic, Swash and Titling) per every letter are provided. All this means that the users would have wide range of choices while creating their projects.
Frost script family is created by the Finnish designer Emil Karl Bertell and is released by Fenotype foundry of Turku, Finland. Emil is one of the most recognized and well known designers of the Nordic countries. He has studied graphic design at the University of Art and Industrial design in Helsinki and has a very solid background as an illustrator. We can only hope that he will continue to bring us joy with his magnificent scripts some of which are: Silver, Powder Script, Peaches and Cream, The Carpenter, Alek.
