HS Headline font is a contemporary bold display font provided by the Palestine designer Hasan Abu Afash in co-operation with the Icelandic calligrapher and type designer Gunnlaugur SE Briem. This is another interesting offer from the Gaza based Hiba studio type foundry that further enriches their already vast collection of highly professional Arabic fonts. With HS Headline font the studio once again supplies a typeface with unique individual look based on the clear and simple yet very beautiful lines of Naskh calligraphy. As the name suggests it is perfect for use in magazine and newspaper headlines, publishing, posters, titles, logos, branding, advertising, or, in short, anywhere where a certain amount of creativity or artistic approach is a must.

HS Headline offers a very interesting feature – with a single OpenType font the users are able to set text in languages based on Arabic (Arabic, Persian and Urdu) and Latin alphabets. Provided are a full set of Arabic Unicode as well as MILE 2.0 set of Latin characters (designed by Gunnlaugur SE Briem). Also, the font contains proportional and tabular numerals in Arabic, Persian and Urdu, several stylistic variations of the letter ‘meem’ and swash letters set in Arabic.

Designed by Hasan Aby Afash and released by Hiba Studio, HS Headline is a member of the magnificent family of fonts they offer. Here are some other examples of their remarkable work: HS Ali, HS Almaha, HS Almidad, HS Ishraq.
