Rein Grotesk font
Rein Grotesk font by the Highlander Jason Aitcheson (The Northern Block foundry) is a Sans Serif font family consisting of seven weights: Light, Regular, Medium, Demi-Bold, Semi-Bold, Bold, and Extra-Bold – 240 characters with manually edited kerning. It’s a low-contrast grotesque typeface with a strong and clear outlook. Rein Grotesk font family features tall structure and open counters, thus obtaining excellent legibility at small point sizes, while keeping a fine and neutral look at big ones.
Rein Grotesk font is a versatile tool with a variety of applications – scientific projects, editorials, presentations, corporate identity designs, and many others. With the heavy weights taking on a less subtle nature due to it’s high stroke variation, transforming Rein Grotesk typeface into a font that shines with an abundance of character, ready to inject personality into any project and graphic environment.
Jason Aitcheson is Glasgow design graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. He fulfilled his ambition to become a type designer by joining The Northern Block in 2013 when he began his apprenticeship programme. Jason has a clean, modernistic, structural style and a strong interest in the functionality of letters.
The Northern Block type foundry was founded by Jonathan Hill in 2006. The company is recognised for their clean, geometric and stylish font designs. In 2013 MyFonts voted the Bauhaus inspired font Corbert amongst the most popular Sans Serif designs.
