Saya Serif FY
Saya Serif FY typeface is the latest release by probably the most renowned collaborative type foundry Fontyou. Just like their expanding team of artists and professional this brand new family hides same freshness, friendliness and elegance going hand in hand with perfect legibility and functionality. Saya Serif FY is designed with original and modern serifs which perfectly fit the overall elegant look.
Ranging from Thin to Black, Saya Serif FY is developed in 6 separate weights each accompanied by corresponding true Italics. And while the Romans are more tight, delicately condensed and formal, the Italics carry all the bright emotions and free spirit of freshness and joy. Working in perfect harmony, the uprights do the serious part and the Italics spice up the whole design with positivity. Looking separately the whole family is just perfect but if you dig deeper inside Fontyou’s portfolio you’ll discover two old friends created before this brand new one – Saya FY and Saya SemiSans FY. They all share same roots and origin and if you use them in combination, you will discover the true potential and beauty of those three families.
Saya Serif FY is based on the existing Saya SemiSans FY. Using its elegance and beauty Joana Correia together with Adrien Midzik restyled it in a new serif version – this is how the Saya Serif FY family was born. Joanna’s first appearance on Fontmatters’ site was in 15 great font debuts Selection at the beginning of 2014 with her amazing Jasmina FY font.
