Signo font by Rui Abreu is a dynamic and a bit eccentric Sans Serif. Due its reverse contrast and untypical for a Sans Serif stress angle, shifting the weight from the vertical strokes to the horizontal ones, Signo font’s letters look flowing in each other. Its tall x-height and open counters, work well in small sizes, making Signo a versatile yet charismatic typeface across weights, from text size to headlines.
Signo font family consists of six weights: Thin, Light, Book, Regular, Medium and Bold, plus their Italics. The cursive italics are a good complement to the roman fonts adding variety and warmth to the type. Two of the weights – Book and Regular are especially suitable for texts.
Signo was awarded a “Certificate of Excellence in Type Design” in the 2015 TDC.
