Erbaum font family by Mariya Pigoulevskaya – designed for clarity
Erbaum font family is a contemporary geometric sans serif, designed for display use. It is characterized mainly by its extended x-heights and sharp details. Indeed, everything about this typeface serves one purpose – functionality. Therefore, Erbaum font has a very straightforward and plain structure as well as simple and rational details. In order to achieve maximum functionality, Mariya V. Pigoulevskaya – the typeface’s designer, accentuated on the pragmatic construction, rather than details and ornaments that could make the appearance heavier. It serves perfectly her main aim – to offer a modern font that would be perfect for rapid exchange of information. She completed this task successfully, as Erbaum would be great for use in print, on screen and for mobile applications whenever the communication has to be swift and clear.
The overall appearance of Erbaum is not the only thing committed to functionality. It is the same with the structure of the font family too. It offers 7 weights – Thin, Light, Book, Regular, Medium, Bold, Black, with no Italics. There are OpenType features included too, like Stylistic Alternates, Ordinals and more. The language support is quite rich too, covering Latin and Cyrillic.
