There are certain names in history that have long outlasted there times and have turned into symbols. Undoubtedly among them is that of Giuseppe Garibaldi – the greatest hero in modern Italy’s history, the great unifier of his country, a revolutionary and a man of great vision. His name has long ago turned into a symbol of freedom and unity of men. Of course, any work that bears the name of that great hero has also great expectations to come up to. In the case of Garibaldi font family we can easily say that this was achieved with great success. The typeface itself is a modern serif characteristic with its organic appearance. It was inspired and based on the humanist calligraphy and to achieve its typical look different techniques were used like 20° axis, asymmetric serifs, medium contrast etc. The recognition for the typeface’s quality didn’t come late as Garibaldi Regular was nominated for Tipos Latinos 2014. However, since then the family was expanded and got even better. Overall, its great look and perfect legibility will make it great choice for documents, books, magazines, etc.
Garibaldi font family comprises of 8 fonts – Regular, Medium, Bold and Black with their respective Italics. Any of them has more than 750 glyphs. Those of the users who have OpenType savvy software can enjoy a real abundance of OpenType features such as contextual alternates, ligatures, small caps, old style and lining figures, fractions, subscript and superscript and many more. Also a vast language support is provided for more than 80 languages.
