Banjax Notched is a great font for sports items released by the Irish designer Paulo Goode. It is a version of his very successful humanist sans serif Banjax that was published back in April 2017. This time, Paulo decided to add some more drama and energy. He achieved that by simply notching the glyphs while keeping the most prominent features of the original like the asymmetrical contrast, short descenders, large x-heights, angled terminals. The result is a quite modern font family that is very pleasant to read and offers unique personality with distinctive dimension of the letterforms. With its dynamic aesthetics Banjax Notched offers plenty of opportunities and is perfect for magazines, book covers, advertising, corporate identities as well as for branding purposes especially together with the original Banjax, which it complements in perfect manner. However, we believe that the best use of this typeface would be for musical and sports related items and events.

Banjax Notched font family consists of 14 fonts in seven weights – Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Bold, Black, Ultra, all with their corresponding Italics. Paolo Goode also included more than 1100 glyphs per font, with Latin Extended and Basic Greek ones, as well as three Alternates. The font also offers true Small Caps, and most notably Petite Caps that work perfectly with the lowercase characters.

Overall, Banjax Notched font family is another jewel brought to us by Paulo Goode. May be one of the possible explanations of why this typeface is so good and so appropriate for use in all kinds of sports events, lies in the fact that its birth is partially due to Paulo’s love of football. Another great emotion generated by the greatest game, isn’t it?
