Maris is a contemporary font family which is as finer example of the always fashionable style of the handwritten calligraphy as you can get. When trying to describe it we feel we should use so many epithets – fancy, elegant, vintage, feminine, artistic, friendly, cute, informal, pleasant, etc. Whatever we say about the unique look of this fully-connected display typeface will not be enough. But perhaps the greatest advantage of Maris typeface is the large variety of the versions and weights provided which will allow the users to use all their imagination while creating having virtually no limits. Other great features that have to be mentioned are the great legibility which is not that common in this kind of typefaces and the beautiful ribbon-like swashes and doodles. All in all, this font family is perfect for logos, headlines, packaging, wedding invitations, greeting cards, labels, etc.
As we mentioned above the versions and weights provided are among the greatest advantages of Maris. There are several very interesting versions which differ depending on their texture like halftones, jean, wood, print, rough and normal. Each version is supplied in 6 weights – from Thin thru Medium to Black with each next one bolder than the previous but all equally impressive. Also, for even more choices and diversity, there are a few very useful OpenType features provided with which the users could do their project truly unique. Among them are contextual, swash and stylistic alternates, ligatures, as well as extended language support for 72 languages.
