Grota Sans font family is something we expected to see by Latinotype after releasing Grota and Grota Rounded. This new super family is featuring 10 weights – each developed in uprights and true italics. That makes 20 fonts. Additionally you will find inside the set another 20 fonts for alternates using the same weight construction but flavored with more humanistic elements and personal touch. Now with the total of 40 fonts inside Grota Sans is really a powerful tool in typography showing a lot of diversity and many different options for use. We highly recommend it for editorial design because of its increased x-height, elegant semi-condensed look and of course because of its diversity in contrast levels in different weights – perfect for long text columns as well as for strong high-contrast headlines and beautiful italic subheads.
Editorial design is recommended but not the only place where Grota Sans could be used – it is ideal choice for posters, book covers, packaging brand logos etc. Perfect for print graphics, it has excellent performance on screen as web-font for your web site, e-book or PDF document.
