Via Sans font by Daniel Peralta Casanova (Latinotype foundry) is a wayfinding typeface inspired by classics like the Bauhaus Steile Futura and the German traffic font standard Din 1451. Via Sans font family shares some Neo-Humanist features like large x-height, angled round shapes and large apertures. It is designed for traffic signs, with excellent legibility from a distance, a tight spacer, making it a very good alternative when composing long phrases. Its rounded corners are designed to reduce the reflections from the sign surfaces.

Via Sans font family comes in nine variations: 4 weights (from Light to Black), 4 italics, and a set of pictograms for wayfinding and maps. Additional options provide European accents marks, ligatures, fractions, ordinals and tabular numbers.

Latinotype foundry is founded in Santiago, Chile, by Luciano Vergara, Daniel Hernández and Miguel Hernández. They are designing high-quality contemporary typefaces mixing different influences and incorporating the South American identity. Check out some samples from their immense typography collection: Arquitecta font, Grota Sans font, Andes Rounded font, Modernica font, Macarons font, Clasica font, Newslab font, DSari font, D.I.Y.
